  Hmm I'll be straight with you - I knew that there must be a setting somewhere to switch off the beep but the OS but yes - I didn't read the manual and figured that if I let Whatley read that on my blog then next time I saw him he would switch it off. You see! Labour saving.

  Also I'm meant to get it back today in which case hittingontheheadness may occur - but I'm scared to take it out with me in case it breaks again...

  Ah bless the canadians. They just did the safety announcement twice to make sure we didn't get bored. Delay is half an hour, i'm told. This means that i have an hour and a half to get my bags, check in, and get on the connection. Worried.
